Welcome to the Butler Longhorn Museum

The Butler Longhorn Museum is a cultural heritage destination dedicated to preserving and sharing the legacy of the Butler Longhorn family. We focus on the story of Milby Butler and his efforts to save the Texas Longhorn from extinction, featuring artifacts, local art, historical and scientific exhibits, and a gift shop. Our museum chronicles the history of the Longhorn bloodline and the development of Galveston around Butler Ranch and Cattle Station.
